One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is getting to capture these sweet milestone sessions as babies grow and change so quickly. I'm a little behind on blog posts, but I wanted to share a few of my favorites from sweet baby Lachlan's 6 month session last year. He was big smiles and adorable expressions!

For milestone sessions, I love to plan for 2-3 different setups. This gives plenty of variety while keeping things short and fun for baby. At this age, babies are sometimes sitting up on their own (or just about there!), so it’s the perfect time to capture a mix of smiley (or serious) shots, tummy time, and those adorable little details.

One of my absolute favorite photos to capture in every milestone session is the side profile close-up of baby’s face. There’s just something timeless about those eyelashes, button noses, and round cheeks that make parents melt every time they look back on these photos. I always have baby look at mama for these photos which usually brings out a couple of big smiles :)

If your little one has a milestone coming up, I’d love to help you capture it. These ages fly by so quickly, and photos are such a beautiful way to remember each stage.
